We are pleased to tell you about the new GoToManage and GoToAssist Pro features that were just released. One of the significant benefits of using a SaaS IT Management service for remote monitoring and support is that the new features keep on coming without you having to invest in upgrades.

Here is the list of the key new features that were just rolled out.

GoToManage

Scheduled reports
You can now schedule when reports are sent and use the notification capabilities to easily choose the recipients. Simply run a report and then select when you want it to be automatically sent out.

New Key Events reports
There are two new reports under the Executive Summary section (called Key Events). These reports (one has a view over the last 30 days and one has a view over the last 7 days) provide a snapshot of what has recently happened in the environment (e.g. newly discovered devices, newly installed software, etc.) and can be used by MSP to send to clients or by internal IT management to report on what’s happened lately.

Printer status screen in Inventory app
There is now a printer status screen in the Inventory application. It graphically presents data on the toner and paper levels. There is also now an added default schedule to the Crawlers application to collect printer status information over SNMP.

New Printer Status alerts
We have added new standard alerts for monitoring printer status, out of paper and out of toner status.

Drag and drop machines into groups
You can now grab and drop machines into any group in the inventory tree. This makes it easier to sort machines based on your categorization.

GoToAssist Pro

The improvements for GoToAssist Pro were focused on faster viewing of “unattended machines” and general ease-of-use.

Improved speed of seeing a new “unattended” machine in the UI
Newly set up unattended machines are now placed in a priority queue so they “show up” in the UI much faster. This allows you to view and get into session with them without delay.

Ability to rename “unattended” machines
You can rename your “unattended” machines.

Ability to sort “unattended” machines
You can now sort machines based on any of the column headers. While sorting by name was the driving use case, this feature also applies to sorting by IP address, etc. (basically by any of the column headers).

Change to timeout behavior
The timeout logic is such that if you continue to actively use the platform (GoToAssist Pro or GoToManage) the GoToAssist Pro session is kept alive and you can start a G2AP session. However, if you are idle for more than 15 minutes, then the session will expire and the next time you try to access any of the G2AP functionality you will be automatically redirected to log in again.

As always, let us know what you think. In the meantime, we are working on the next set of features and are looking forward to rolling them out shortly. Stay tuned for what’s next.

PLEASE FIX gotomanage! I love the product so much, but it has so many problems. Since the latest update, the website has been crashing, the monitoring data does not keep up…. Please fix! I am a MSP looking for a monitoring solution, and if you fix this product I will sign on.
