I’m running a VPN (Hamachi) on nearly all machines on my network since I can roam off and on my LAN yet maintain connectivity. Unfortunately I can only bind the crawler to one NIC. I’d like to bind it to both my LAN interface as well as my VPN interface. Also, while the Hamachi VPN interface does show up in the list, Windows VPN interfaces don’t (i.e. PPTP or L2TP).

WAN based adapters do not show up in the adapter list in most cases. Under Windows PPTP is based on PPP so it uses the WAN adapter. The Hamachi VPN is probably not PPP based or is creating its own psuedo adapter which is why it shows up.

The Paglo Crawler is best suited for permanent installation in a network. It can be used between LANs which are connected with a network based VPN or WAN connection, but as you noticed it is not designed to work on the gateway machine itself. It is unlikely that we will add the ability to crawl on multiple interfaces at the same time.
