Hi,
I set-up a windows server 2008, installed the crawler but eventually downgraded from windows server 2003, how come all the discovered asset was still restored? I tried to install the crawler on the new server but the information associated with the particular IP address was still the old one?

The information in Paglo is stored on servers in our data-center, so the information is maintained even if you move the Crawler to a new computer. You can delete an individual computer by using the Delete button in the detail screen for that computer in the Inventory application. If you want to delete everything in your Paglo account and start again, there is a button to do that under “Settings” at the top of the page and on the “Index Settings” tab.

Ok so it would mean everything would be deleted on the account right? How will i delete the existing crawler on a particular server. I mean removing the crawler on the crawler menus, though i downgraded and the Ip is still the same the information should be change as well like from winserver2008 to winserver 2003.

If you want to have the Crawler update the information for a specific device (like your Windows 2008 server), then use the Delete button in the Inventory application to delete the device. So find the device in the inventory, and then click the “Delete this device” link at the bottom of the Overview page.
