for small environments is fine install the Crawler on an existing machine. But if there are many devices is needed setup a dedicated machine for crawler.
For this would be great to have a Virtual Appliance or a Small Linux Distribution with a crawler integrated to install on an dedicated hardware or box.
Do Citrix plan something like this next time?

I 100% agree. We actually would like to have it for large networks too, so that we could have a special built OS in a specific VLAN that has the ACL’s to let it crawl without having to let a windows computer into such an open VLAN.
